Growing up, I always knew it was predetermined for me to have a future that allowed me an outlet of creativity. As a young child, I would spend time painting, making up my own crafts, or even tagging along with Mom to all the home décor shops to give my little hand in helping decorate the family home. I can remember having my small amount of allotted money that I would carefully choose what was needed to spruce up my bedroom. I can even remember staging my nightstand, then rearranging it the next day, or even setting up a vintage suitcase filled with old accessories that I bought myself at an antique store.
When it was time to choose a field of study, I decided to attend Birmingham-Southern College where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a double concentration in Painting and Sculpture. I have been successful selling my three dimensional canvas creations in galleries, but now focus primarily on individual commissioned pieces.
As a compliment to my work in the art studio, I also direct my creative energy to what I call "Interior Styling". This provides me with the opportunity to work with clients in decorating, staging, art, and design to create interior spaces that reflect their unique personalities and ideas.
Meg Cook Interior Stylist focuses on optimizing an interior space to its fullest potential in aesthetic and comfort utilizing my knowledge of design, innate sense of decorating, and art. Meg Cook integrates form and function for a comfortable and inviting environment.
